Around 74,000 Hungarians are considering buying a home

Around 74,000 Hungarians have a firm intention of buying or building a house in the coming year, reports the MTI news agency, citing a representative survey carried out by economic research firm GKI and the manufacturer. of Masterplast building materials.
The survey, conducted in September, shows that another 180,000 households will “probably” buy or build a house in the next 12 months.
Home sales in Hungary were just over 117,000 in January-September, according to an estimate by real estate broker Duna House. Duna House expects the number of full-year transactions to be around 150,000.
The GKI-Masterplast survey suggests that the resale prices of homes in Hungary could increase by just over 3% over the next 12 months, while the prices of new homes climb by 7%. Rental rates could increase by 3%.
