Cordia completes tallest residential building to date
Hungarian developer Cordia has completed its tallest residential building to date, the 54.5m-tall Horyzont Praga in Warsaw, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
The recently completed project offers 164 housing units. The project takes its name from the Praga Poludnie district of the Polish capital, one of the most famous and top-rated residential areas in the city.
“Today, Cordia’s offer includes many projects dedicated to more demanding clients: Leśna Sonata in Sopot, Villa Jaśkowa Dolina in Gdańsk or Safrano in Krakow. However, it was Horyzont Praga who was our first and definitely successful attempt to enter this market segment. the aesthetics of this building, the quality of its finish, the elegance of the solutions used make it an extremely important project for us as a company, and also a very attractive place to live ”, declared Tibor Földi, president of the Cordia International board of directors.
The complex, consisting of a block of 17 floors and a block of 5 floors, offers a green patio, a two-story lobby, services on the ground floor, as well as an underground garage of two floors with electric car chargers and bicycle storage.
The location offers quick access to other neighborhoods by bus or car, and a third metro line station will be built nearby in the future, notes the developer.
“Poland is playing an increasingly important role in our business, alongside the strong Hungarian market. At present almost 900 apartments are under construction and 3,500 more are under development and we plan to deliver 500 units to the Polish market this year. We also plan to sell 745 apartments here in 2021 under the Cordia and Polnord brands, which could represent almost half of the group’s sales in all of its markets. We plan to sell around 750-900 apartments per year in Poland, but with our plans for further land acquisitions, we believe we can achieve sales of over a thousand homes per year in the future, ”added Földi.
Besides Horyzont Praga, Cordia has been active in Krakow, Warsaw and the Tri-City region (Sopot, Gdansk and Gdynia) and plans to expand to other Polish cities. Cordia has launched three new projects in the country this year and with Polnord’s portfolio, it is listing more than 650 apartments in 2021.
