Czech developer RC Europe on Tuesday announced plans to build a distribution and logistics center in Croatia worth an estimated HRK 500 million (€66 million), news portal SeeNews reported.
The city council of Samobor, located west of Zagreb, last month approved a new urban plan as a condition for the development of a new industrial zone in Bobovica, RC Europe said in a statement.
In this way, RC Europe has received direct support from the city, allowing the company to start preparing the documentation for the construction of the center which will include 83,000 square meters of warehouse space.
The project is expected to create some 800 jobs for warehouse workers.
Construction work is expected to be completed in 2023-2024.
