Duna Pearl residential complex reaches its climax
Duna Pearl, a new residential complex that is being built just off the Danube bank in Budapest’s XIII district, has reached its peak, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
The complex, developed by Polat, will be inaugurated in the second half of 2022.
“For a long time there will be no new housing available in this popular residential area, Duna Pearl will be built on the last piece of land that can still be developed,” said Bálint Szabó, CEO of the company.
As part of the project, 193 apartments, a 103-room unit of an international luxury hotel chain never seen before in Budapest, as well as cafes, commercial spaces and restaurants will be delivered by the end of 2022.
A third of the apartments have already been sold, which started in 2019 with the slogan “Unique, like you”. The total investment will be around 70 million euros.
The main aim of the project is to combine sustainability and convenience. In accordance with EU building regulations, the complex will use 20% renewable energy, including an air-to-hot water pumping system and cooling-heating solutions in the roof structure. A significant proportion of natural stone and wood will be used in construction. Residents who move in will have access to fully furnished and equipped apartments. High-end kitchens and wardrobes, smart solutions will also be available. Each apartment is equipped with a sink, fridge, hob, oven and extractor hood.
In addition, a smart home system allows residents to easily control the ceiling mounted heating and cooling system, lighting and electric shutters. These will be standard features in all apartments
“We are aware that we have a huge responsibility in handing over the last piece of land in Újlipótváros that can be developed for housing. Újlipótváros is a special little island in the capital, a district with a civil, historical and small town atmosphere, with a tight-knit community of residents who almost know each other by name. For this reason, it is important that the project fits well into the fabric of the neighborhood, ”said Szabó, who added that he was convinced that the Duna Pearl neighborhood much more than the old demolished and fenced-in bank headquarters.
He also noted that the company will also renovate the sidewalks around the site, create new park areas on the Pozsonyi út side and open up green spaces on all sides, creating new public and community spaces for neighborhood residents.
“It has been a long road to take this step. It is an unimaginable feat that we can now toast when reaching the highest point, the ninth floor. I personally thank all my colleagues, the general contractor KÉSZ and all the people working on the project for their contribution to the realization of the project ”, he added.
“For us, the Duna Pearl Condominium and Hotel project is a special project that requires special attention,” said Árpád Tápai, Deputy General Manager of KÉSZ Építő és Szerelő Zrt. “The surroundings and location of the site not only require extraordinary organization on a daily basis, but it is also the largest luxury residential-hotel complex in terms of volume among our work in progress. The contract gives us the opportunity to contribute in many areas of general construction and to create apartments, hotel rooms and service facilities such as restaurants that meet the demands of modern times. “
