Eszter Salamon joins GTC as Director of Transactions
GTC has appointed Eszter Salamon as Director of Transactions. His in-depth and exceptional knowledge of the sector and his deep experience in real estate and financial operations will strengthen GTC’s optimization and expansion objectives. With Eszter on board, the developer is preparing to complete the upcoming large-scale transactions in various markets.
Eszter Salamon is a comprehensive finance and transactions professional with over 20 years of experience gained in renowned multinational companies. Prior to joining GTC, she held the position of Director of Real Estate Management at OTP Real Estate Fund Management Zrt., One of the three leading real estate fund management companies in Hungary. Within his role, Eszter was responsible for managing the fund’s portfolio assets amounting to over € 1,000 million, as well as executing high value transactions in the EEC region. As a committed team player, Eszter has also led his department during COVID-19 crises, handling lease receivables and tenant claims in order to keep OTP portfolio vacancy rates at bay.
Previously, Eszter held various leadership and project finance management positions at CIB and MKB banks in Hungary. Its tasks ranged from financing Class A office buildings to supporting large-scale multifunctional development in the region with external partners to sales transactions. Throughout his career, solid financial background and in-depth knowledge of the industry have enabled Eszter to excel in negotiating with real estate development companies and in concluding M&A transactions with large international companies of a value of 60 to 220 million euros.

Eszter Salamon graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Business Valuation with an MSc in Economics, at Corvinus University in Budapest.

Recently, GTC completed several key transactions in the Central and Eastern European markets. The developer strengthened its Hungarian portfolio by investing 160 million euros in the acquisition of two office buildings in Budapest: the Ericsson headquarters and the Siemens Evosoft headquarters. Previously, GTC had acquired the brand new office building Váci Greens D in Budapest. The operation was partially financed by green bonds issued in 2020, in line with the Group’s strategy of investing in a sustainable portfolio of commercial buildings located in the capitals of the EEC..
