FedEx Distributes Big Payments to Help Grow Business and Memphis – FOX13 News Memphis
Memphis, Tennessee – FedEx continues to increase its hourly wage.
It’s up to $ 20 an hour for package handlers.
There are also several other incentives for all employees to attract more people to join their team.
“We will also add a referral bonus of $ 100 to our employees who can find a friend, family neighbor or church member who decides to join FedEx,” said Shannon Brown, senior vice president of FedEx .
It’s one of the many new incentives for FedEx employees with the $ 20 an hour wage for parcel handlers.
In addition, one incentive the company is improving is improving its tuition reimbursement policy. This helps employees who have graduated from college to repay their student loans.
Brown says the moves are for the good of Memphis.
“We can better continue in Memphis, viable Memphis. So we can attract different businesses, jobs and opportunities to Memphis. I think we’re very lucky to have a global business like FedEx, ”Brown said.
Brown says FedEx Express is also increasing the Memphis Hub Nightside Pay Premium.
Night workers will be paid an additional $ 2 per hour.
FedEx also wants to attract young adults by promoting their free online employee programs through the University of Memphis.
