According to the Duna House Barometer, selling an inherited property can take up to a year and a half, writes profitline.hu.
According to July statistics, 17-18% of inherited properties were sold in Budapest and the countryside, which is a decrease of 3 and 8 percentage points, respectively, from the same period last year .
In Budapest, the dispersion was more important, 13-26%, but less dispossessions of their inherited goods than in the countryside.
The main reason for this is that the value of apartments in the capital is much higher, so they offer an ideal long-term investment opportunity.
