Hungary house rental rates increase 8.6% year-on-year in October

Rental rates for homes in Hungary rose 8.6% year-on-year in October, climbing for the fifth consecutive month after falling for more than a year, according to data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH ) from the Ingatlan.com ads site.
Rental rates in the capital rose 7.9% in October, with rates in areas on the outskirts of the city’s central neighborhoods also increasing by 7.9%.
On a month-to-month basis, rental rates for homes rose 0.4% nationwide and 1.4% in Budapest in October.
The monthly rent for an apartment in the capital averaged 152,000 HUF in the first half of the year. In the west of the country, an apartment could be rented for 118,000 HUF per month.
