MKIK: the local business tax must be maintained
The current system of local business tax is expected to be maintained next year according to the proposal of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK), and when there are no elections, the entire system of business tax should be reviewed according to the president of the László Parragh, writes the business daily Világgazdaság.
Parragh said if businesses were to pay less local taxes next year, they would have more money left to spend on rent, development and investment.
That is why the chamber also recommends that the government freeze other local taxes so that, for example, property taxes and tourism contributions cannot be increased, as entrepreneurs’ coffers are now quite meager.
