Gábor Zeley, an experienced real estate expert, has joined investor and developer ConvergenCE, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

In his new position as Senior Project Manager, he is mainly responsible for the renovation of Academia, the first office building on the Danube bank acquired by Europa Capital in partnership with ConvergenCE.

Zeley has 25 years of experience in many areas of the real estate industry. After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, he worked as a construction and project manager on the AstraZeneca office building and warehouse in Törökbálint at NCC Fastigheter AB.

He then participated in the development of the Westend shopping center as a purchasing engineer at Arcadom, then back at NCC, he coordinated the greenfield developments of Electro World and Praktiker in Budaörs. Then he was at New Store Europe designing stores and manufacturing store fittings in Hungary, then continued the business of fitting out and fitting out stores on his own, manufacturing furniture for brands such as Prada, Michael Kors or Sony across Europe. He joined ConvergenCE after leaving HB Reavis, where as Development Manager he was involved in the development of the Agora Budapest office park.

“With the arrival of Gábor, our team gained another highly skilled engineer with a complex approach,” said Gábor Kovács, Project Management Manager at ConvergenCE. “Focusing on the renovation of our downtown Academia office building, his responsibilities include design, procurement, construction, technical supervision, project management, WELL certification coordination, as well as support rental and property management. We are convinced that his diversified knowledge and integrated vision will greatly contribute to the success of our exceptional development.

“I am delighted to join ConvergenCE, which has already demonstrated its knowledge, its sense of organization and its commitment through many successful projects. Academia is a trophy building in an exceptional location with excellent features, offering great opportunities for renovation and repositioning. Zeley added.
