WATCH: Mitt Romney slams Tucker Carlson for meeting Hungarian frontman Viktor Orban
Sometimes Mitt Romney delights Democrats with his willingness to cross the political aisle. And other times, the Utah senator goes along with everything Mitch McConnell says and makes the Liberals regret having faith in him.
Recently, Romney did something to make the Liberals happy. During a speech at Bringham Young University, the former presidential candidate brought up the subject of authoritarianism. And while discussing the topic, he tore up Fox host Tucker Carlson for his meeting with Hungarian frontman Viktor Orban.
Not to mention host Fox by name, Romney Recount students: “A prominent television expert traveled to Hungary to praise Viktor Orban as a role model. Orban censors the media in his country, ignores the will of the people in elections, amasses wealth for himself and his cronies. Hungary is ranked among the least free and least democratic countries in the developed world. Hungary, a model for America?
In making his story on Orban, Carlson Recount Viewers: “Just a few years ago his views would have seemed moderate and conventional. He thinks families are more important than banks. He thinks countries need borders. For saying these things out loud, Orbán was vilified.
